Chuys deals and coupons for 2026: happy hour, birthday dessert, app promos and seasonal specials.
Chuy’s Deals & Coupons 2026
If you searched for “chuys deals,” here is the honest summary: Chuy’s deals center on happy hour, Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 PM, with $5 Chips ‘N’ Dips and drink specials at most locations. You also get a free birthday dessert, occasional app promos and seasonal specials around Cinco de Mayo and Margarita Day. There is no standing coupon program, so timing your visit is everything.
Look, I get it. Chuy’s already feels like decent value, the portions are generous and the chips and salsa show up free. But nobody wants to leave money on the table, and Chuy’s absolutely rewards people who pay attention to the calendar. Here’s the thing: most of the best Chuy’s deals and coupons are not sitting on a coupon site. They live in the restaurant’s own rhythm, happy hour, birthdays, the app and a handful of big food holidays.
I looked into this properly, starting with Chuy’s own site and working out from there. If you want to plan your order around the specials, check out the full Chuy’s menu with prices first so you know what everything costs at full price. Then come back here and stack the deals on top.
🎟️ How Chuys Deals Work in 2026
The short answer: happy hour is the everyday deal, the birthday dessert is the personal deal, and the app plus seasonal events are the bonus deals. Chuy’s does not run a traditional points-based rewards program as of October 2026, which surprises a lot of people. Most chuys deals, then, reward timing rather than coupon clipping.
What does that mean in practice? If you show up between 3 and 6 PM on a weekday, you save real money on drinks and dips without clipping a thing. If your birthday is coming up, a free traditional dessert is waiting for you. And if you follow Chuy’s app or social channels, you catch limited promos like free-delivery codes and holiday offers that pop up a few times a year.
🍹 What’s on the Chuy’s Happy Hour Menu?
Happy hour runs Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at most locations. That is the single most reliable Chuy’s happy hour deal in the building, and honestly it is the reason half the bar crowd shows up at 3:05.
The $5 Chips ‘N’ Dips Lineup
During happy hour, Chuy’s serves its famous Chips ‘N’ Dips for just $5. You pick your dip:
| Dip | What’s in it | Happy Hour Price |
|---|---|---|
| Queso | Chuy’s signature recipe | $5 |
| Compuesto | Queso with ground beef, guac and pico | $5 |
| Lil’ Chuy Gooey | Refried beans, queso, lettuce, pico, beef, sour cream, guac and jalapeños | $5 |
| Boom-Boom Pow | Refried beans, Boom-Boom sauce, lettuce, pico, sour cream, guac and jalapeños | $5 |
Drinks
Drink specials cover House ‘Ritas, House Texas ‘Tinis, beer and wine, according to Chuy’s official happy hour page. All of the margaritas are made with fresh-squeezed lime juice, never a mix, which makes the discounted ‘Rita one of the better happy hour pours in the Tex-Mex world.
A couple of honest caveats. Happy hour is not available on weekends or holidays at most locations, and exact times and specials can vary by restaurant. If you are heading out specifically for the deals, check your local Chuy’s happy hour page on the official site before you go.
📱 Does Chuy’s Have Coupons or an App?
Yes to the app, mostly no to printable coupons. Chuy’s runs a mobile app where promos show up around events and holidays. A recent example: during the 2026 National Taco Day celebration, Chuy’s pushed the code APPFREE in its app for free delivery fees. So the app is worth having even if you never order delivery, because that is where surprise Chuy’s coupons tend to land.
On the Chuy’s website you can also sign up for news and specials by email, which is the closest thing the chain has to a rewards program. As of October 2026 I could not find a traditional points-per-dollar loyalty program, which is a shame, but the email list does catch the seasonal offers that matter. Just manage your expectations on third-party coupon sites: Chuy’s rarely issues classic clip-and-save coupons, so many of the “coupons” listed around the web are expired, location-specific or unverifiable. Treat the official app and website as the source of truth.
🌮 What Seasonal Chuy’s Deals Should You Watch For?
This is where Chuy’s gets fun. The chain goes big on food holidays, and the deals are usually real money off, not just marketing fluff. Here are the ones to circle on your calendar:
Cinco de Mayo
For Cinco de Mayo 2026, Chuy’s ran $5 queso bowls, $6 regular or $9 grande House ‘Ritas and $1 off Corona, Modelo and Dos Equis beers. This is typically Chuy’s biggest deal day of the year, and it repeats in some form every May.
National Margarita Day (February 22)
In 2026, Chuy’s offered a $2 upgrade to make any House ‘Rita a Grande plus $1 Floaters, dine-in only. If margaritas are your thing, this is your holiday.
National Taco Day (October 6)
The 2026 edition was a party: $1 taco add-on with any entrée, $1 ‘Rita floaters all day, and anyone who showed up dressed like a taco and posted about it got a free entrée. The app code APPFREE also waived delivery fees that day.
The pattern is clear. If a food holiday exists, Chuy’s probably celebrates it. Following the brand on social media a week or two before Cinco de Mayo or Taco Day is the easiest way to catch the announcement.
💰 How Do You Save Money at Chuy’s on a Regular Visit?
Beyond the headline deals, a few everyday habits stretch your dollar further at Chuy’s. First, remember the free stuff: every table gets complimentary chips and fresh salsa, so you can genuinely skip an appetizer and still snack before your entrée. Second, the birthday freebie is real, a free traditional dessert on your birthday with no rewards signup required, according to deal trackers.
Third, think shareable. The nachos and combination plates feed two hungry people easily, and ordering one shared appetizer plus two entrées beats three solo dishes on price. Family meal kits, like the fajita and taco kits, also price out better per person than individual entrées when you are feeding a group. And if you are debating between two restaurants, the happy hour window alone often tips the math in Chuy’s favor.
