Shoney’s Deals & Coupons 2026
Shoney’s deals and coupons run through recurring offers rather than promo codes: a $24.99 Two Can Dine special, buy-25-get-25 wings on Mondays and Thursdays, a free Strawberry Pie slice with an entree, free Hot Fudge Cake on the 6th of each month, a 15% military discount, and app-exclusive offers, all at participating locations.
If you’re coming here for menu prices first, start with the full Shoney’s menu with prices, then use this guide to pay less for it.
How Do Shoney’s Menu Deals and Coupons Work in 2026?
Honestly, Shoney’s deals and coupons don’t look like what most coupon sites promise. You’ll find pages listing codes like THANKYOU or SHIPFREE, and I looked into this, those codes are expired. Shoney’s doesn’t really do standing public promo codes. That’s the bad news, if you were hoping for a magic checkout code.
The good news? The real savings are arguably better. Shoney’s runs its discounts through recurring specials, its app, sign-up rewards and military and holiday offers. No codes to fumble with at the register, and no squinting at suspicious coupon blogs. The offers change by location and by month, so check the official Shoney’s site or the app before you head out, and call your local store to confirm a specific deal is running.
The Quick Version
No public promo codes that work. The real deals: the $24.99 Two Can Dine special, buy-25-get-25 wings on Mondays and Thursdays, free Strawberry Pie with an entree, free Hot Fudge Cake on the 6th of every month, a free starter when you sign up, a free birthday Hot Fudge Cake, 15% off for military and first responders, and app-exclusive offers.
What App Deals Does Shoney’s Offer?
The Shoney’s app is where the chain puts its best digital-only savings. These are app-exclusive offers on menu items, combos and add-ons that you won’t see advertised anywhere else, and they’re the closest thing Shoney’s has to coupon codes. What shows up can look different from week to week.
Two tips. First, enable push notifications when you install it, limited-time offers move fast, and the monthly free Hot Fudge Cake day is easy to forget until it’s the 7th. Second, the app is also the signup route for Shoney’s email rewards, which unlock a free starter just for signing up plus a free Hot Fudge Cake on your birthday. Two free items for an email address is hard to argue with.
Which Recurring Shoney’s Deals Are Worth Watching?
These are the deals that come back on a schedule, so you can actually plan around them:
- Two Can Dine for $24.99. The headline Shoney’s Two Can Dine deal feeds two people for $24.99 at participating locations, making it one of the best couple’s-night values the chain runs.
- Buy 25, Get 25 Wings. On Mondays and Thursdays, order 25 wings and get 25 more free. Wing night twice a week, not bad.
- Free Strawberry Pie slice. Buy an entree or the Fresh Food Bar buffet and get a free slice of fresh Strawberry Pie. Free pie as a dessert upgrade is a genuinely sweet deal.
- Free Hot Fudge Cake on the 6th of each month. This is the one people love most. Shoney’s world-famous Hot Fudge Cake, free, on the 6th, every single month.
Note: all of these are at participating locations and can change or be discontinued, so confirm with your local Shoney’s before making the trip.
Does Shoney’s Have a Birthday Freebie?
Yes, and it’s exactly what you’d hope for. When you sign up for Shoney’s email rewards (or through the app), you get a free Hot Fudge Cake on your birthday, the gooey chocolate-on-chocolate signature dessert the chain is famous for. On top of that, the same signup gets you a free starter just for joining.
The only real advice here: sign up ahead of time. Like most restaurant birthday clubs, you can’t register on your birthday and expect the freebie the same day, the offer usually needs to be in your account before the big day arrives. Get it done a week early and you’re covered.
What Holiday Deals and Military Discounts Does Shoney’s Run?
Shoney’s takes holidays seriously, both for regulars and for veterans. The biggest date on the calendar is Veterans Day: on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, veterans get a free breakfast from the Fresh Food Bar until 11 a.m. That tradition has run for years and it’s a real free meal, not a token discount. Beyond that, the chain has a standing 15% military discount at company-owned and participating franchised locations, and it extends to first responders like police, firefighters and EMTs. Bring a valid military or service ID.
Seasonal deals are worth watching too. Shoney’s has been open on Thanksgiving Day with a free pumpkin pie giveaway, and around Christmas the chain has handed out free Hot Fudge Cake to everyone with no purchase required. These one-day events get announced on Shoney’s own site and social pages, so following those is honestly the best strategy for catching Shoney’s coupons this week or any week: the chain announces to its followers first.
How Can I Save Money at Shoney’s Without Coupons?
No coupon in hand? Plenty of ways to still come out ahead:
Real Shoney’s Money-Saving Tips
- Download the app before your first visit. The app-exclusive offers and the free sign-up starter mean your very first trip can already be discounted.
- Plan around the 6th. A free Hot Fudge Cake turns an ordinary dinner into an event, and it costs you nothing extra.
- Do wing nights right. The Monday and Thursday buy-25-get-25 wings deal is perfect for splitting with a group, the per-person cost drops fast.
- Ask about the Two Can Dine special. At $24.99 for two, compare it against two entrees before ordering a la carte.
- Check family meals to-go. Shoney’s Family Meals To-Go bundle breakfast or dinner for the whole household, and per-person they’re usually cheaper than individual orders.
