Honestly, the 11 AM opening is the one constant across the chain. Primanti Bros started in Pittsburgh’s Strip District back in 1933, and the restaurant-and-bar format it runs today keeps a lunch-through-late-night rhythm. You won’t find an early-morning breakfast rush here. The doors open at 11, and the day runs straight through dinner into the evening crowd.
Here’s the thing though: that closing column has a range for a reason. The Pittsburgh flagship at 830 Clairton Boulevard, for example, runs Monday through Wednesday 11 AM to 11 PM, Thursday through Saturday 11 AM to midnight, and Sunday 11 AM to 11 PM. Erie and Lancaster locations push later, staying open until midnight on weeknights and 1:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. So the pattern is real, but your specific spot decides the exact Primanti Bros closing time.
What Are Primanti Bros Hours on Sunday?
On Sundays, Primanti Bros typically opens at 11:00 AM and closes between 11:00 PM and midnight.
Sunday is honestly one of the best days to go. The bar side of the house fills up with game-day crowds, and that 11 AM open means you can slide right into lunch before the afternoon games start. Most standalone locations keep normal Sunday hours. The one exception? Mall locations. If your Primanti Bros sits inside a shopping mall, the Primanti Bros hours Sunday schedule usually follows the mall, which often means a shorter day, something like 11 AM to 6 PM. Always double check those.
Does Primanti Bros Stay Open Late at Night?
Yes. Many Primanti Bros bar locations stay open until midnight or 1:00 AM on Friday and Saturday nights, making it a solid Primanti Bros open late night stop.
This is a sports-bar-at-heart kind of chain, so weekends run late. In several Pennsylvania locations the kitchen and bar both stay open to 1 AM on Friday and Saturday. That said, the kitchen sometimes winds down a bit before the bar does, so if you are rolling in at 12:45 AM with your heart set on a Pitts-Burger, it’s worth calling ahead. Weeknights are quieter. Most spots wrap up at 11 PM or midnight Sunday through Thursday, which still gives you a full evening after work.
What Are Primanti Bros Holiday Hours?
Primanti Bros holiday hours vary by location. Most restaurants close or shorten hours on Christmas Day, while Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day often mean reduced schedules.
Is Primanti Bros open on Christmas? In most cases, no, or only for limited hours, so plan something else for December 25. Thanksgiving hours are a mixed bag: some locations open late or close early, others keep a holiday schedule. New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day tend to run on adjusted hours too. My advice is simple and boring but true: check the official location page or call your local restaurant before heading out on any holiday. Hours around the holidays are the one thing corporate does not standardize.
