Mission BBQ Working Hours 2026
Mission BBQ working hours are 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Saturday and 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM on Sunday at most locations. The chain closes early at 5 PM on holiday eves and stays fully closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and six other holidays. Hours can vary by location, so check the official locator before heading out.
Here is the thing about Mission BBQ: the hours are simple, but the holiday schedule is where people get tripped up. I looked into this because nothing ruins a brisket craving faster than pulling into a dark parking lot. So I pulled the official schedule, double-checked the 2026 dates, and laid it all out below. If you are planning the meal too, pair this with the full Mission BBQ menu with prices so you know exactly what you are ordering when you walk in.
What Are Mission BBQ’s Regular Hours?
Most Mission BBQ restaurants keep the same schedule all year. It is refreshingly consistent for a chain this size.
| Day | Opening Time | Closing Time |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | 11:00 AM | 9:00 PM |
| Tuesday | 11:00 AM | 9:00 PM |
| Wednesday | 11:00 AM | 9:00 PM |
| Thursday | 11:00 AM | 9:00 PM |
| Friday | 11:00 AM | 9:00 PM |
| Saturday | 11:00 AM | 9:00 PM |
| Sunday | 11:30 AM | 8:00 PM |
The doors open at 11 AM sharp, which means lunch starts the minute they unlock. Honestly, the sweet spot is between 11 and 11:30 on weekdays. You beat the office lunch rush, the brisket is freshly sliced, and you might even catch the noon tradition, which is worth seeing at least once.
What Time Does Mission BBQ Close?
Mission BBQ closes at 9:00 PM Monday through Saturday and at 8:00 PM on Sunday. If you are wondering what time does Mission BBQ close near you, that 9 PM weekday close is the company standard, but here is a tip from experience: kitchens usually wind down a little before the posted close. Aim to arrive at least 30 minutes early if you want the full menu. Rolling in at 8:55 PM is a good way to hear that the ribs are gone for the night.
What Are Mission BBQ’s Sunday Hours?
Mission BBQ Sunday hours run 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Yes, they open half an hour later than weekdays, and they close an hour earlier. Sundays are family day at Mission BBQ, and the dining room fills up fast after church hours. If you are planning a Sunday visit, earlier is better, especially if you have a big group. Catering pickup on Sundays follows the same window, so plan your game-day spread accordingly.
Is Mission BBQ Open on Holidays? 2026 Holiday Hours
This is the part that matters most, and it is also the part Mission BBQ takes most seriously. The chain closes completely on eight days a year so the team can spend time with family, and it closes early at 5:00 PM on five holiday eves. I verified every 2026 date below.
Days Mission BBQ Is Fully Closed in 2026
| Holiday | 2026 Date |
|---|---|
| New Year’s Day | Thursday, January 1 |
| Day of Service | Monday, January 5 |
| Easter Sunday | Sunday, April 5 |
| Memorial Day | Monday, May 25 |
| Independence Day | Saturday, July 4 |
| Labor Day | Monday, September 7 |
| Thanksgiving Day | Thursday, November 26 |
| Christmas Day | Friday, December 25 |
Two of these catch people off guard. The Day of Service is Mission BBQ’s own tradition, the first Monday in January, when the whole company shuts down to serve homeless veterans in their communities. And yes, Mission BBQ is closed on Independence Day and Memorial Day, which feels unusual for a barbecue joint, but it fits who they are.
Days Mission BBQ Closes Early (5:00 PM) in 2026

| Christmas Eve | Thursday, December 24 | 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM |
| New Year’s Eve | Thursday, December 31 | 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM |
A quick note on Mission BBQ Thanksgiving hours and Christmas plans: Thanksgiving Eve is a great pickup day for catering, but you need to be out by 5 PM. And if you are asking is Mission BBQ open on Christmas, the answer is no, they are closed on Christmas Day itself, with the early close on Christmas Eve. Plan around it.
Good news for the rest of the calendar: Mission BBQ is open on Veterans Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Good Friday, Columbus Day, and Black Friday with normal hours. Super Bowl Sunday (February 8, 2026) gets special shortened hours that vary by time zone, roughly 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM Eastern, so call ahead if you are doing a game-day run.
Does Mission BBQ Serve Breakfast?
No, Mission BBQ does not serve breakfast. The earliest you can get food is 11:00 AM (11:30 AM on Sundays), so there are no Mission BBQ breakfast hours to plan around. If you want smoked meat in the morning, you are out of luck, but the 11 AM open means you can be eating brisket by 11:05. Not a bad trade.
Do Mission BBQ Hours Vary by Location?
They can. The hours above are the company standard across the chain’s 155+ restaurants in 23 states, but individual locations sometimes adjust for local events, mall hours, or staffing. Searching for Mission BBQ hours near me? The fastest way to confirm is the official store locator on the Mission BBQ website, where each location lists its own hours. A two-minute check beats a wasted drive, especially on a holiday eve.
