🎁 How Does the McAlister’s Deli Rewards App Work?
The McAlister’s Deli rewards app is free to join and it is honestly the single best money-saver at this chain. You earn 10 points for every $1 you spend on qualifying purchases, and the rewards ladder is pretty generous for a deli.
| Points | Free Reward |
|---|---|
| 500 | Free beverage or kids meal |
| 1,000 | Free side, cup of soup, or dessert |
| 1,500 | Free entree: sandwich, salad, Spud, or Choose 2 |
The Free Tea Hook
New members get a free Big Tea coupon valid for 30 days after signing up. McAlister’s Famous Sweet Tea is their signature drink, and regulars treat this as a $3-plus freebie before you ever spend a dime. Members also get exclusive offers like double-points days and bonus rewards that non-members never see.
Worth it?
Do the math: spend about $50 and you are already at a free drink. $100 gets you a free dessert or side. $150 gets you a free entree worth $13 to $15. For somewhere you eat anyway, that’s not bad at all.
🎃 Current October 2026 Deals at McAlister’s
Free Spud for Spud-tember Buyers
During September, McAlister’s ran “Spud-tember” for National Potato Month. If you are a rewards member who ordered a Spud in September, check your account: a free Spud reward was added, redeemable October 1 through 31 at participating locations. Members could earn up to two rewards. Didn’t buy one in September? You missed this round, but it shows why staying in the program pays off.
Free Dessert With Entree Through October 14
Rewards members can score a free dessert with any entree purchase through October 14. That’s well-timed, too, because McAlister’s launched a Halloween lineup for the whole month: the returning Witch’s Brew (green lemonade with caramel apple syrup), Twisted Witch’s Brew with black cherry puree, and Franken-Tea. The dessert case added a new Peanut Butter Pie with Reese’s and a returning Pumpkin Pecan Cookie with white chocolate chips. Free dessert plus a seasonal cookie? Hard to argue with that.
How to claim
Both offers live in the McAlister’s app under My Rewards. Apply the reward at checkout. Note these can’t be combined with other offers or used on catering or third-party delivery orders.
🏷️ McAlister’s Deli Coupons Online: What Actually Works?
Okay, real talk. You will see McAlister’s Deli coupons listed on deal sites like Don’t Pay Full, GreenPromoCode and others, with offers like $5 off orders of $25 or more. Some of these codes test out fine, others are dead on arrival. Coupon codes for McAlister’s tend to churn fast, and expired ones rarely get cleaned up.
Here’s my honest advice: check a coupon site right before you order and test the code at checkout before you commit. Rewards points stack up on every order, coupons come and go.
🎂 Birthday Freebies and Referral Points
Birthdays come with a free treat in the rewards program (historically a free cookie or a birthday offer on your account). Make sure your birthday is entered in the app profile well before the big day, the reward shows up automatically.
Refer a friend, both of you win
Share your unique referral code and you get 100 bonus points per friend who joins and orders. Your friend gets a free tea after signing up and making their first purchase. Get a few friends on board and you’ve got free food without spending a cent.
💰 Smart Money-Saving Tips at McAlister’s
Go for the Choose 2
The Choose 2 pairing, two half-portions from different menu categories, is the built-in value play. Around $15 for a full lunch, and the lite pairings stay under 600 calories. It’s the best value-per-dollar on the whole menu and you get to try two things.
Watch for Free Sweet Tea Day
On National Iced Tea Day (June 10), McAlister’s has handed out free Big Teas, one per person in-store. Mark your calendar for next June, it is the easiest freebie of the year.
Feeding a group? Check catering promos
McAlister’s runs catering offers throughout the year, often a free gallon of tea or mini cookies on qualifying catering orders. If you’re ordering sandwich trays or box lunches for an office or event, ask what’s current, the perks are usually worth more than individual coupons.
Always order direct
The app and website earn you 10 points per $1. Third-party delivery doesn’t. Same food, same price, except direct ordering quietly fills your rewards meter.
