Insomnia Cookies Working Hours 2026
Insomnia Cookies working hours: most stores open at 11am and close at 1am Sunday through Wednesday, staying open until 3am Thursday through Saturday. Saturday and Sunday doors open at noon. On Christmas Day most locations are closed and hours shrink on Christmas Eve, while Thanksgiving hours vary by store.
If you are craving warm cookies at midnight, Insomnia Cookies is probably the only bakery open for you. Honestly, that is the whole point of the brand: it was started in 2003 by a college student who wanted cookies delivered late at night. The chain now runs 265+ stores across the US, mostly near campuses, and late-night hours are baked into its identity. Planning a visit? Insomnia Cookies Working Hours: The Full Weekly Schedule
The typical schedule is simple once you see it: open late, close later. Most Insomnia Cookies locations follow this pattern:
| Day | Store Hours |
|---|---|
| Monday | 11:00 AM – 1:00 AM |
| Tuesday | 11:00 AM – 1:00 AM |
| Wednesday | 11:00 AM – 1:00 AM |
| Thursday | 11:00 AM – 3:00 AM |
| Friday | 11:00 AM – 3:00 AM |
| Saturday | 12:00 PM – 3:00 AM |
| Sunday | 12:00 PM – 1:00 AM |
One caveat: individual stores tweak this a little. A handful of locations open an hour earlier or close an hour later depending on the neighborhood and local demand. But the table above covers the overwhelming majority of the 265+ stores.
What Are Insomnia Cookies Weekend Hours?
Saturday is the latest night of the week: most stores run 12pm to 3am, and Sunday follows with a 12pm to 1am shift. Friday matches Thursday, with doors open from 11am until 3am.
Here’s the thing most people miss. Friday and Saturday are peak nights for this brand, so popular stores can have lines out the door after 10pm. If you want warm cookies without the wait, order online for pickup around 8 or 9pm. You walk past the line and grab your box straight from the counter.
How Late Does Insomnia Cookies Deliver?
Delivery generally runs for the full store hours, so you can get warm cookies delivered as late as 1am on weeknights and 3am on Thursday through Saturday nights.
I looked into this, and delivery is genuinely the brand’s original business. Back in 2003 it was just a student delivering cookies around campus at night. Today the company still leans into that identity, with late-night delivery available at most stores. Delivery zones are usually a few miles around each shop. If you live close to a college campus, you are almost certainly inside one. Order through the official Insomnia Cookies site or app for the best pricing.
What Are Insomnia Cookies Holiday Hours?
Holiday hours are where things get inconsistent, so check your local store before heading out. Here is the general pattern:
Holiday Schedule Guide
- Christmas Eve: most stores close early, typically around 6pm or 8pm.
- Christmas Day: most locations are closed so staff can spend time with family.
- Thanksgiving: hours vary by store, and many locations are closed or run a short shift.
- New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day: most stores stay open, sometimes with extended late-night hours.
- Other holidays (Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4th): usually normal hours.
The day after Christmas, normal late-night hours usually resume, so December 26 is a perfectly normal day at most shops.
Do Insomnia Cookies Hours Vary by Location?
Yes, they do, a bit. Hours can differ based on the city, the neighborhood and whether the store sits near a campus with heavy foot traffic. Seattle stores, for example, run Sunday until 2am instead of 1am.
Don’t just trust a general schedule for a big trip. The reliable move is the official store locator on insomniacookies.com or a quick Google Maps check for your specific location. If you are ordering delivery, the app will show the exact cutoff time for your zone, which is honestly the most accurate source of all.
