Church’s Texas Chicken Working Hours 2026
Church’s Texas Chicken hours are simple: most restaurants are open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily, seven days a week, with many locations extending Friday and Saturday hours to 11:00 PM. Drive-thru, dine-in and delivery follow the same schedule, though hours vary by location, so always check the official store locator before heading out.
Nothing worse than rolling up to a closed restaurant, right? I looked into this because Church’s Texas Chicken hours are one of those things that differ more than you’d expect from one town to the next. If you are craving their honey-butter biscuits, the full Church’s Texas Chicken menu with prices is worth a peek too, but let’s get to the hours question first.
🕙 What Are Church’s Texas Chicken’s Typical Working Hours?
The standard schedule for Church’s Texas Chicken is 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Sunday. That is what you will find at the majority of the 1,400+ US locations. Honestly, it is a pretty consistent pattern for a chicken chain. No breakfast service here, unlike some competitors, so don’t show up at 8 AM expecting chicken and waffles.
A handful of locations open earlier. Some stores in Texas open at 9:00 AM, and a few urban locations (like the Washington, DC spot) start as early as 8:30 AM. But those are the exceptions. Plan on 10 AM and you will rarely be disappointed.
📅 Is Church’s Texas Chicken Open on Sundays and Weekends?
Yes. Church’s Texas Chicken is open every single day of the week, Sundays included. Here’s the thing though: weekends are when hours get the most interesting.
Typical Sunday hours
Sunday hours are usually the same as weekdays: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Unlike Chick-fil-A, Church’s doesn’t take Sundays off, so it is a solid option when other chains are closed.
Friday and Saturday nights
Many locations push closing to 11:00 PM on Friday and Saturday. Busy suburban stores in places like San Antonio and Monroe, GA list 10 AM to 11 PM for both nights. If you are looking for late-night fried chicken, Friday and Saturday are your best bet.
🎄 Church’s Texas Chicken Holiday Hours: Is It Open on Christmas?
Holiday hours are where you really need to double-check. Here’s the deal: most Church’s Texas Chicken locations run reduced hours on major holidays rather than closing completely. On Thanksgiving and Christmas, many stores open later (around 11:00 AM) and close earlier (around 7:00 PM). New Year’s Day usually follows a similar reduced schedule.
But, and this is a big but, holiday schedules are decided by individual franchise owners. Some locations close entirely on Christmas Day. If you are planning a holiday fried chicken run, call the store or check its Google listing that morning. Don’t just assume.
| Holiday | Typical Status |
|---|---|
| Thanksgiving | Reduced hours at most locations (often 11 AM – 7 PM) |
| Christmas Eve | Often reduced hours; some close early |
| Christmas Day | Reduced hours or closed, varies by franchise |
| New Year’s Day | Often reduced hours; morning opening may be later |
| Memorial Day / Labor Day / July 4th | Usually normal hours at most locations |
🚗 Do Drive-Thru Hours Differ From Dine-In Hours?
At most Church’s Texas Chicken locations, the drive-thru follows the same 10 AM to 10 PM schedule as the dining room. Some stores keep the drive-thru lane running a bit past dining-room close on weekends, but that isn’t a chain-wide policy. Want to know the Church’s Texas Chicken drive-thru hours near you? Your best move is the official locator at churchs.com, or just give the store a quick call. The Church’s app also shows your location’s current hours when you start an order, which is honestly the fastest way to check.
Dine-in, carryout, drive-thru, delivery and catering are all available during regular operating hours, and you can order ahead through the Church’s website or app.
